A few months back I had tried to listen to the top 500 albums according to Rolling Stone magazine back in 2005. I started off strong but as soon as I hit country records, it all fell apart and I called it quits. I've decided to revisit this challenge in a much more feasible way. Instead of all 500, I am going to do the top 50. The chances of something as bad as Loretta Lynn being in the top 50 is pretty slim (or so I hope).
I am going to make a recap post for each 10 that I listen to. The first 10 are:
50. "Here's Little Richard" by Little Richard
49. "At Fillmore East" by the Allman Brothers Band
48. "It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back" by Public Enemy
47. "A Love Supreme" by John Coltrane
46. "Legend" by Bob Marley & the Wailers
45. "The Band" by The Band
44. "Horses" by Patti Smith
43. "The Dark Side of the Moon" by Pink Floyd
42. "The Doors" by The Doors
41. "Never Mind the Bollocks, Here's the Sex Pistols" by the Sex Pistols
Some good, some bad. Nothing unbearable, but "Never Mind the Bollocks" does come close 😜
